Other symptoms of endo

There are some more unusual symptoms of endometriosis that you may have, but have not yet correlated with your menstrual cycle. If you do not currently have periods or breakthrough bleeding this may be another reason why you haven't considered endometriosis as the cause:

  • nose bleeds before and during periods, or even blood on a tissue when you blow your nose before periods

  • bleeding gums during periods that is not related to gum disease, vitamin deficiency or any other disorder

  • memory loss

  • brain fog

Other conditions which can co-exist with endo

Adenomyosis -a disease where the uterine lining (endometrium) invades the muscle wall of the uterus (myometrium)

Auto-immune conditions:

Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, MS, Sjogren’s Syndrome, inflammatory bowel diseases [such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis] and coeliac disease

Interstitial Cystitis

(IC)- a chronic inflammatory condition of the bladder

Other pelvic pain conditions like pelvic floor dysfunction, vulvodynia, vaginismus, vestibulitis, pelvic congestion syndrome

Fibroids - called leiomyomata, fibroids are very common. They are benign growths of muscle that form spheres occupying space within the normal muscle of the uterine wall.
